Capsules provide an attractive tamper-evident finish to a bottle, but do not provide a barrier to air or keep mold from growing on the cork and can not be used as a bottle closure. The capsules require a heat source of 350-400 degrees F such as a heat tunnel (SHT), bench model capsuler (HT), a paint stripping gun or a quick immersion in boiling water will work as well. The best method is to use a heat tunnel, which will shrink them smoothly around the neck of the bottles. The capsules will fit on cork finish bottles.

The dimensions of this product are 30mm x 55 mm.

These are reasonably priced, very easy to use, and gives a bottle a very professional appearance. For years, I just popped them in a pot of boiling water of the appropriate depth and they came out fine. Now I use a hand held heat gun and that also works very well.
