Blue Heron Label Wines
Beautiful Twelve Mile Creek cascades by our winery. One of our favorite and most loyal visitors is a great blue heron that flies gracefully along the creek bed, stopping to fish in the waterfalls and wade in scattered pools. Our frequent flyer—majestic while at the same time quirky and whimsical—has become the inspiration for our Blue Heron series of blended sweet wines. Native Vitis labrusca grapes are used to honor their long history as the mainstay of the vineyards of Lake Erie.
