OAK-MOR, Granular White Oak, Toasted, Bulk, 40 lbs.

Used to emulate oak aging without the difficulties of working with barrels. The material is the texture of sawdust exposing more surface area than oak chips; it won't impart a strong 'greenish' character to the wine.

Normal use is 1 to 5 grams per liter (3.8 to 19 grams per gallon), but some reds may require more.

Timing of addition and length of exposure is not critical; it can be done at almost any stage of the process.
