Even small wineries needing acids might do well to consider buying malic, tartaric and citric acid in bulk if your usage requires. Not only is the price per ounce cheaper, but the shipping and handling per weight unit is much less. Our 50 pound bag of malic acid arrived in good condition, and we divided it up into empty widemouth gallon bottles we had from previous orders. kept tightly sealed, this stuff will keep for a long time. Just make sure you label your used containers so you remember what they contain!

I use malic acid for my gallbladder cleanse, instead of drinking large amounts of apple juice with all that sugar ( also has malic acid ) I use the malic acid to help dissolve my stones to make my cleanse more effective. This malic acid from Piwine is 100% pure and is inexpensive. The taste is very bitter but the health benefits make up for it.
