These are the best chips I've found, and I've used a few different ones. Nice and even chip size easily pours into the carboy, and not too difficult to remove at the end. Evenly toasted. I have now used these several times (both the American and French oak chips).

Easy to use by non-commercial wine makers. It is easy to remove from wine with a coarse screen if you want, and not use a nylon sock or bag.
