Our new semi-dry white blend honors Freeport, a 1700’s lumber and fishing port that was one of the first settlements in our area. With notes of tropical flowers and citrus zest, this harmonious blend of Vidal, Seyval Blanc, Cayuga, and Valvin Muscat, some of our region’s best white varietals, provides a crisp flavor foundation sure to please any palate. Serve slightly chilled with fish, shellfish, or white meats.

This vintage is bottled under our new Freeport Art Label Series inspired by the real history of Lake Erie rum running and the story of our fanciful label heroine, Freeport Annie, Queen of the Lake Erie rum runners. The labels take advantage of the rich graphic visual opportunity presented by references to lake waves, art deco wallpaper patterns from the 20’s, sleek and polished wood Dart Boat images, elegant 1920’s women and those incomparable hats and dresses, moonlight, barrels and glasses of wine and liquor, and speakeasies.

Nice semi-dry white. Goes great with cheeses and other typical horderves. May get better with some additional aging.
