2011 Dornfelder Wine

Available locally only at Presque Isle Wine Cellars, this dry, medium-bodied red is a true hidden gem. This German variety, just over 30 years old, has displayed an unrivaled speed of expansion in the vineyard industry and grows wonderfully in our Lake Erie wine region. Our Dornfelder was aged in both French and American oak barrels, boasting hints of rich berries and aromatic spices. Ending in a pleasant dried-cherry and light tannin finish, this vintage can be enjoyed nicely on its own or paired with game and red meat cuts.
