PRESQUE ISLE WINE CELLARS WINS 17 MEDALS IN THE 2017 FINGER LAKES INTERNATIONAL WINE COMPETITION
Presque Isle Wine Cellars’ wines have earned 17 medals in this year’s prestigious Finger Lakes International Wine Competition (FLIWC), competing against 3,077 other wines from 621 wineries in 16 countries across the globe, including Italy, Spain, Australia, and Argentina and California and 39 other states. There were only 8 wineries worldwide, and 6 wineries in the United States that won more medals than Presque Isle Wine Cellars. The FLIWC is the largest charitable wine competition in North America, benefiting the nonprofit organization Special Times, and Camp Good Days.
Presque Isle Wine Cellars’ BluSecco won a Double Gold medal, and its True Blue and Blaufrankisch wines earned Gold medals.Silver medal winners include 2013 Cabernet Franc, 2012 Noiret, 2015 Riesling, 2015 Reflections of Lake Erie, 2015 Falling Waters, Blushing Heron, Niagara, and Pink Catawba. Bronze medal winners include 2015 Chardonnay, 2013 Pinot Noir, 2013 Merlot, 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon, Freeport Red, and 2013 Eskimo Kisses.
